Types of ventilation systems

There are three types of ventilation due to the method of forcing air movement.

1. Gravitational (natural) ventilation

Air circulation takes place in a natural way, it uses only forces acting in nature (due to the difference in pressure and density of cold and warm air). Air flows in from outside through diffusers, it is removed by channels in ventilation chimneys. This type of ventilation is particularly often used in single-family housing. The advantage of gravitational ventilation is noiseless and automatic operation.

2. Mechanical ventilation (supply and exhaust)

Air circulation is forced by a fan, thanks to which there is ensured constant air exchange in the rooms, regardless of external conditions. Perfect for modern construction, where it additionally cleanses and heats the air.

3. Hybrid ventilation

Combination of mechanical and gravitational ventilation. Depending on the conditions, various energy sources (sun, wind, power grid) are used for its operation.
